On June 20 and 21, 2019, the Department of BAF organised visits to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the RBI Monetary Museum for 178 of its Students, who were accompanied by five Faculty Members.
At the BSE, the Students attended a lecture by Dr. Aditya Srinivas, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Economist, BSE, Brokers Forum. Dr. Srinivas spoke on Indian and world economy and discussed the reasons for the volatility in the global economic scenario. He explained SENSEX 30, NIFTY 50, Mutual Funds and Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs), and also encouraged Students to take invest in the stock markets via SIPs and Term Plans.
At the Monetary Museum, the Curator, Mr. Radhakrishnan P.V. explained the evolution of money. After the lecture Students were taken to the various galleries of the Museum where coins, paper money, and other monetary artefacts are preserved.
Students found the visits highly beneficial.
