The College Self-Financed Departments celebrated Festival Week between December 13 and 17, 2016, during which the various inter-collegiate fests organised by these Departments were held.

The following is a brief report:

Department of BMS – ALTIS – December 13, 2016
Nearly 26 colleges participated in this fest, which featured games such as MAD ADS, Money Multiplier, Mock Stock, Treasure Hunt, Live X and 0, and various engagement games.

There was maximum participation in Talent Hunt, where the participants gave spirited performances in such events as dance, singing, percussion, and mimicry.

The trophy for the First Position was won by Tolani College, Andheri, and the Second Position was secured by Thakur College.

 

Departments of IT and CS – IGNITE – December 14, 2016
Talegaon, Pune, was organised for 66 FY students. Mr. Sachin Bhagat and Dr. Anil Bhalerao accompanied the students.

The group also visited A1 Biotech Nursery where Dr. Dilip Jadhav, Director, explained different ornamental plants and techniques of gardening and spoke of the nursery business as an excellent career opportunity.

Departments of Biotechnology and Microbiology – BIOZEST December 15, 2016
This year the theme of the event was a tribute to the Indian Defence services andthe chief guest of the event was Grp. Capt. Vijay Maheshwari.

There were various events such as Creative Mashup,Mind Teaser,Express to Impress,Spin-a-Luck and Diffusal Squad.

Departments of B.A.F. and B.B.I – PRAGOTSAV – December 16, 2016
On December 16, 2016, a one-day inter-collegiate fest, PRAGYOTSAV-16, was held. A variety of Management, Fine Arts, Cultural and Gaming events were organised as part of the fest.

Approximately 420 students from 18 colleges participated, and the Best College Award was bagged by Kandivali Education Society’s Shroff college, Kandivali (W).

The fest featured eventsrelated to categories such as Management, Fine Arts, Cultural and Gaming.Nearly 375 students participated in events such as Food Fest, Foxy Trait, and Kheech Meri Photo.

The First position was secured by K.E.S Colleg

Department of Mass Media – MEDIATAINMENT– December 17, 2016
Students from around 28 colleges from Mumbai participated in the various events of the festival. There were more than 10 competitions in various categories such as drama, singing, board games and outdoor games. Eminent personalities from the media industries such as Umesh Jadhav, Sanjay Jadhav, Vinod Singh, Aarushi Mehta, and Raina Lahiri were judges for the various competitions.
