The Psychology Association organized its inaugural function for the academic year 2015-2016, on July 29, 2015. The speaker was Dr. Shailesh Tawde, zoologist and assistant professor in the Department of Zoology of the College. He spoke on ‘Animal Behaviour as a Guide to Human Behaviour’.
Dr. Tawde highlighted the similarities between animal and human behaviour, thus justifying research on animal behaviour in Psychology. With the help of appropriate slides, he demonstrated the excellent nurturing, management and social skills exhibited by various animals, birds and fish. Examples were liberally used to explain each behaviour.
The program was well received and greatly appreciated by the audience.
