SOP for Grievance Redressal under WDC
• The Complainant should register the complaint in writing with the Cell. The complaint should carry all such details regarding the nature of the grievance as the name of the accused, the day, date and time of the offence, and frequency.
• On receipt of the complaint, the Complainant and all the parties concerned are called for an interaction, where an attempt is made to understand the case in detail.
• All claims, made by either party, are examined and verified, and a decision is taken by the WDC.
• In case the issue cannot be resolved at the College WDC level, it is referred to higher authorities, such as the Principal or the University WDC, as required.
• In case there is no written complaint registered, the WDC tries to resolve the issue by speaking informally with the parties concerned.
• When necessary, notices are put up as general instructions to ensure that no untoward incidents occur. (For instance, in 2014-15, girl students complained that the short cut they used to reach College was infested by rowdy men who engaged in eve-teasing. The WDC put up a notice to instruct girl students to refrain from using the said route.)
