The College has a Nature Club, which performs the valuable function of raising awareness about environmental concerns among its members. The Club organises Nature Trails for its members every year. The Club is registered as PrithviSankalp with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and also holds an annual membership (renewed every year).
The Nature Club conducted the following activities during 2018-19:
On March 7, 2019, 51 Members participated in a Nature Trail at the Biodiversity Park, Alibaug. The Students enjoyed the natural scenic beauty of this place as well as gained information about the local medicinal plants and the great biodiversity of the Park, which has 65,000 different plant species.
On March 26 and 27, 2019, the College ISR Cell, in association with the Nature Club, conducted an anti-plastic campaign in the shops in the vicinity of the College. Earlier, the Students had been briefed about the significance of this campaign for the present and future, the need for environment conservation, and the harmful effects of synthetic materials that take more than 400 years to degrade. Students collected messages, facts and slogans from different internet sites to make the anti-plastic posters. Students then hung these posters in the shops to create awareness among the shoppers. The drive was appreciated by the shopkeepers who promised to keep the posters in their shops to discourage customers from asking for plastic bags.
