Setting up the first satellite education centre at Kudal, Sidhudurg

 

Vision of our Institution is ‘To function as a Centre of Education Excellence through holistic enrichment of the students for local, industrial, national development and beyond’.

Located in suburbs of Mumbai, the Institution has taken first step to emerge as an Educational Centre of Rural Maharashtra as well, that will promote academic curricular and research work in the interior of Maharashtra.

Patkar-Varde College, Goregaon has become the firstSatellite Education Centre at Kudal in Sindhudurg for the University of Mumbai.

In the academic year 2020-21, the college offered two courses to the youth of this rural belt of Maharashtra. These course are

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Hospitality, Catering Services and Tourism, and
Master in Tourism and Travel Management.
Kudal is a census town, situated on Karli River in Sidhudurg districtof Maharashtra. Considering the fact that Sindhudurg is a tourism hotspot, with dynamic natural ecosystem, the Institution realised that courses in this area will help students from the rural region find employment and start up their own Ecotourism venture. The Institution has good existing infrastructure to cater to the requirements of these courses in Kudal.
