Chikitsak Samuha’s Patkar-Varde College became the first College in India to establish a Government of Maharashtra sanctioned Satellite Centre at Pinguli, Kudal, to provide higher education in the rural and tribal areas of Kudal district. The Centre also increases the reach of Online and Open Distance Learning (ODL) ET as suggested in the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020).

As per Government Order dated 25th September, 2020, the B.Sc. Hospitality, Catering Services and Tourism Degree Programme (recognised by University of Mumbai) was commenced in the academic year 2020-21, at Hotel Hill Treat Resort Campus, Pinguli, Kudal. This Degree Programme is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the commercial opportunities offered by the region. The natural beauty of Konkan as well as its food and culture are gaining fame in the world today. Also due to the opening of airports in Parule (Vengurle) and Mopa (Goa), the hospitality and tourism business are expanding rapidly in Sindhudurg district. These businesses have created employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to hotel management graduates and postgraduates from Sindhudurg district and Goa State. Furthermore, increasing globalisation has created global available career opportunities for hotel management professionals.
