The Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS), which is an initiative of the Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Department of Higher Education.

Following the Institutional Score of 3.53 in the 3 rd  cycle of NAAC Accreditation, our College was granted Academic Autonomy. Following this, the RUSA 2.0 grant was sanctioned to the College under Component 8 — that is, Enhancing Quality and Excellence in Select Autonomous Colleges. Our College became a member of the elite club of 70 high performing Autonomous colleges in India to have received this Grant, of which 26 are from Maharashtra.

RUSA’s objectives include the granting of access, equity and quality in higher education to the highest possible number of beneficiaries. RUSA aims to help in setting up new academic institutions and expanding and upgrading the existing ones in terms of infrastructure and self- reliance. There is a focus on development of research, and towards providing students with an education that is of relevance to them and to the nation as a whole.

Always interested in furthering the cause of education, the Vision and Mission statements of our College are in line with the objectives of RUSA. We have been utilising the RUSA 2.0 Grant for developing the physical and ICT infrastructure of the College, and for organising various activities for the benefit of stakeholders. These activities include webinars, conferences, student training programmes, research projects, faculty development programmes, student exchange programmes, starting new certificate courses, and organising ISR activities, to ensure the overall curricular and co-curricular development of Students. Further, under RUSA an Entrepreneurial Cell and Skills Hub has also been established, where various entrepreneurial courses are conducted and Students will be helped to establish start-ups and become self-employed.
