Department of Bachelor of Sports Management (BSM)
General Information
The Department of Sports Management was established in the year 2019-20, offering programs and courses focused on the management and administration of sports-related activities. These programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue careers in the sports industry. WIFA Skillanation, in collaboration with Patkar Varde, offers comprehensive sports management courses affiliated with the University of Mumbai, focusing on developing holistic sports professionals. Through a combination of dedicated faculty members and industry experts, students have access to the latest knowledge and skill sets in this niche domain. Through multiple tie-ups and associations, students have the opportunity to learn industry-specific skills such as Sports Data Analysis, Match Operations, Player Management, amongst many others
The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in sports management. International Olympic Day Celebration
- International Olympic Day is celebrated annually on June 25th, 2022, the Maharashtra Olympic Association and the Director of Sports and Youth Service Maharashtra State came together to organize the International Olympic Day celebration at Bharatiya Kreeda Mandir in Wadala, Mumbai. The day aims to promote the Olympic value of excellence, friendship, and respect and to encourage people of all ages and abilities to participate in sports and lead a healthy lifestyle.
Hydration Test for BMS in Sports Management Students
- Hydration Test was conducted on 22nd July 2022 at Cooperage Football Stadium.
WIFA Independence Cup
- The Friendly Football league was organized between FY, SY and TY on at Cooperage Football Stadium.
Fitness Training Day
- Fitness training day was conducted on 18th August 2022 at Cooperage Football Stadium.
Hero Indian Women’s League
- BMS students successfully implemented and Managed Hero Indian Women’s League at the Cooperage Football Stadium from 13th August 2022 to 22nd September 2022.
FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup
- The Inauguration ceremony for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022 took place at the DY Patil Stadium on 19th September 2022.
MFA President’s Yuva Premier League-
- BMS students successfully implemented and Managed MFA President’s Yuva Premier League at the Neville D’Souza Ground from 13th August 2022 to 22nd September 2022.
