Department of Botany
History of the Department
The department of Botany was started in 1964 with F.Y.BSc., 1988 with T.Y.B.Sc. and 2003 with M.Sc. The department consists of a UG program, that is ,B.Sc. and PG program, that is, M.Sc. and Ph.D. Three students who completed their PhD successfully while two students enrolled for PhD. Currently there are two research guides working in the department. So far four books have been published by staff members of the department and more than fifty research papers are published in reputed national and international journals. The department also has Botanical association organising various activities every year.
