General Information

The Department of Physics was established in 1964. It was a significant milestone in the institution's history. Subsequently, in 1976, the department introduced its Postgraduate (PG) course in Physics, further contributing to its growth and academic offerings. In 2010, the Department of Physics achieved another notable milestone by introducing its Ph.D. program, further enhancing its academic offerings and research opportunities. This expansion allowed students to pursue advanced studies and research in the field of Physics, solidifying the department's reputation as a hub for scientific exploration and education.

  • Mr.C.M Bhambere awarded Ph.D on 5th December 2022 on the topic “To study the effect of various dopants on properties of amino acid based semi-organic crystals in view of nonlinear optical application”under the guidance of Dr. N.G. Durge. Dr. Vishal Goswami received Recognition as Ph.D. Guide from 5th July 2022. Dr. Vishal Goswami worked as an Editor of two books titled Advances in Material Sciences, Thin Film and its application.. Dr. Vishal Goswami worked as a Member of National Advisory Committee for one day Multidisciplinary International e-Conference on “Current updates in– Science, Social Science and Humanities” organized by Jamunadas Maharaj arts, commerce and science college, Solapur.
